Suppan subsequently pitched for the Diamondbacks- Royals- Pirates and Red Sox again before joining the St. Louis Cardinals in 2004. The pitcher posted winning records in 2004- 2005 and 2006- and was the NLCS MVP in 2006 as the Cardinals made their charge to World Series glory.
