Four Sports And The Proper Attire To Play Them

There are many different sports that a person can enjoy. They are easy to learn and to play and you can learn a lot about playing different sports, whether it's in a team or as an individual.

But there are rules when playing certain sports and one of the most basic rules is to know exactly what to wear. You can't just hit the court or the field in your jeans and t-shirt or in your work clothes; learn what you need to wear for different sports. Here is an idea about some different sports and what you have to wear to play them.

• Basketball – The game is one of the most popular in the world and is gaining even more popularity with each year that passes. It is also one of the most physical. Because the game of basketball is so physical, you should wear light clothing and the right pair of shoes.

Light clothing in basketball includes a nylon jersey type shirt, nylon shorts and a pair of light but durable basketball sneakers. Since you will sweat a lot on the court, you will also need at least two pairs of socks and an optional wrist band or headband to help you get rid of dripping sweat while playing. The basketball shoes that you need should be made of a tough material but should be soft, comfy and light to help you maneuver around the basketball court with ease.

• Golf – The game of golf has always been a gentleman's sport. It is for this reason that you as a golfer should also play as a gentleman. It is a sport that demands men and women to look distinguished even if the sport is physically harrowing.

The modern golfer will wear a pair of spiked golf shoes, slacks or a pair of decent khaki shorts, high socks, a collared t-shirt and perhaps a hat if it's needed. You can't play golf in jeans and a t-shirt and in sneakers. There is protocol in the game and the clothes that you are required to wear for the game actually make the sport easy to bear as you play it. It will not only help you physically but you will be playing the sport in style.

• American Football – Now there are some contact sports that are very difficult to prepare for. However, sports like American Football require that you prepare properly for a game because of the very nature of the sport being so physical.

You will need protective shoulder pads, a protective jockstrap, kneepads and elbow pads, and a helmet. Throw in a pair of football cleats and the jersey that you wear to show what team you are in and you are prepared to play the game. Another sport that requires this much out of its players in terms of sports apparel is ice hockey.

• Diving – One of the more prestigious water sports, diving requires that you wear a wetsuit that will keep your body temperature warm while you are in the water, flippers to help your mobility under water and a mask so that you can see around you. You will also need to have the basic oxygen tank and proper gauges to help you out with adjusting pressure as you go down deep in the ocean.
